| The business was founded by Ron Rawlins over 40 years ago. Ron retired in 1997 and passed the business over to Simon Toone who had worked with him for over 10 years. The true potential of the business became clear in the early days and Simon's brother Nick joined as a co-director. The business is managed by the brothers on a 'hands on' basis in order to maintain flexibility and quality for customers. There is a strong emphasis on staff training and development leading to the attainment of many NVQs.
The workforce consists of 12 full time men plus the directors and part timers in the office. When it is necessary to use further labour or specialists there is a selection of proven sub contractors who are called upon. The office staff are very experienced in business and support the front line team.
R Rawlins Ltd. has experience of innumerable successful contracts and is proud of its excellent reputation. The company policy is to give customer satisfaction by personal attention from the Directors and to limit the number of jobs undertaken at any one time.
Additionally, the company has great experience of refurbishment to both commercial and residential property achieving the highest standards.
With our NHBC registration, we are able to undertake new build to customer's specification. We also have considerable experience of work on Listed Buildings.
All aspects of CDM, method statements and Health and Safety are taken into account on contracts.
R Rawlins Ltd. is accredited by 'The Federation of Master Builders' under their 'Warranted Builder' Insurance Scheme, the Government Sponsored 'Constructionline' scheme, FENSA (a legally required self assessment scheme for the installation of glazing) and NHBC for new houses.
For future expansion R Rawlins Ltd is looking to forge more partnerships with the professions, large respected companies, institutions, local authorities and housing associations - the emphasis is on quality work at a fair price and to develop a good working relationship with customers.
